We’ve carried the DMM Phantom HMS for four years now — the longest-serving locker on our rack — and it’s still the one we reach for on multi-pitch trad. DMM makes it in Llanberis, Wales, and it shows: light enough for long alpine approaches, with a wide, rounded top bar that keeps belaying with a tube-style device or a Munter hitch smooth even after four years of use.
